Our precious daughter, Ashleigh Elton,
was born on, December 7th, 2003.
She weighed just a tiny but perfect 345 grams. Ashleigh was born too soon due to me, her Mummy, becoming very poorly with severe preeclampsia and HELLP Syndrome at 23+4 weeks into my pregnancy.
Ashleigh only took one little breath and lived for a little over 3 hours unassisted. She had lots of cuddles with her Daddy, Auntie Deborah and Granddad. Ashleigh fought so hard to stay with us here, but she was just too small and she lost her little fight for life at 23.10 the same night.
One week later we buried Ashleigh on the 18th of December 2003. We love and miss Ashleigh more each day and wish she was here with us all. We are so proud to have had her and been her Mummy and Daddy even if it was just for a short while.
Ashleigh was a very special little girl who touched so many people especially with her cuddles with her Auntie Deborah and Granddad before she fell asleep and became our angel. She fell asleep in her Daddy's arms. Ashleigh was so beautiful and looked most like her Daddy and had Mummy's light blond hair. She had a cheeky but pretty little face that i will remember forever. I met Ashleigh when she had became an angel a few days later and had my first and last cuddle with her and said goodbye to my little girl. It's the hardest thing I've ever had to do. She looked like she was sleeping.
